Impressionism!   Sort of refreshing with so much realism and portraiture going on.  Maile contacted me about recreating the palace in Seville, Spain for her.  She wanted to include the fountain, the bridge, and the front of the Palace which was a tall order!  She wanted a blue sky and a washy impressionistic feel and texture.  I dove in and was really happy with the way things turned out, funny little horse-drawn carriage and all. The beauty of this painting is the way the colors work and create depth in the building/sky when you are about 10 feet away, honestly, it is sort of a fun magic, I am not sure you can get that across on a computer screen.
